\u201cMagic is not real,\u201d Chris sputtered.<\/i><\/p>\n

After falling into a magical lagoon during a once-in-a-lifetime eclipse, music students Viktor, Mila, and Yuri find themselves transforming into merfolk whenever they touch water\u2026 and considering that they live on the coast, that\u2019s probably going to cause some trouble. Things get even weirder when they discover strange powers that may have bigger effects on their daily lives than they could ever imagine.<\/p>\n

Add to the mix a thalassophobic pianist, a marine biologist (possibly cryptozoologist) who might actually be completely insane, and a treasure-hunting Canadian\u2026 one thing\u2019s for sure: their lives sure just got a whole lot more interesting.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

thoughts:<\/b> from time to time i\u2019ll click on a fic and i\u2019ll settle down to read it and it will feel more like i\u2019m reading a book than a fic adn i can\u2019t quite put my finger on why that is but this fic is definitely that type of fic. i think it\u2019s probably the fact that it is VERY well written! i kinda get a very YA vibe from it in the literal best way possible. the pacing is really good<\/i>\u00a0and do not get me started on the world building. the world building is pHENOMENAL.<\/p>\n

and i think this is honestly one of those treasures in fandom that you don\u2019t come upon very often and i encourage legitimately EVERYONE to jump in on it. even if you arent super into victuuri because one of the absolutely fantastic things about this fic is that its not ABOUT victuuri. relationships are there but the main action is focused on the main trio: victor, mila and yura, who suddenly find themselves turned into mermaids!! and them figuring out how it works and trying to adapt and discover what happened!!!<\/p>\n

and all your faves are here. it doesnt matter who your fave is they are HERE, and all the characters are SO! WELL! DEVELOPED! and integrated in the world building so well!!! it\u2019s fantastic! it\u2019s breathtaking! i\u2019m literally begging you right now to give this a trybecause the fact that it isn\u2019t getting more attention is a disgrace for humanity.<\/p>\n

the only warning i should give is that yuuri has really bad anxiety but also he has vicchan with him who is a little companion dog with his good lil red vest and that is phenomenal and adorable and that something was up with victor. I Don\u2019t Know What and i am worried for who mightve hurt my son but theres mentions of him not eating well and rehab so idk how to warn for that in case its triggering to anybody.<\/p>\n

and let me tell you how amazingly REFRESHING it is that victor has good parents who love him and adore him and are super sweet bc i get tired of him having terrible parents and in this he doesnt!!!!! the main trio\u2019s families of ocs are also really well developed!! its! amazing!!!<\/p>\n

and on top of ALL OF THIS they are MUSICIANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!!!!!! little yura plays the violin!!!! victor and yuuri both play the piano!!!!! mila dances!!!!!! its AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\u00a0<\/p>\n

gosh i have a lot of love<\/i>\u00a0for this au i just read it in one sitting and i am ABSOLUTELY looking forward for the rest and honestly i feel like yall are missing out by not jumping on this train so if you have a moment to spare absolutely please do!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it! is! so! good!!!!!<\/p>\n
