We have some good news for you: We present the next short story contest! We know a lot of you are here because you read Suzie\u2019s blog, Confessions of a Wandering Heart, and we\u2019re honoring her official move here to Tumblr!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s officially 2016, and that means new starts and resolutions. We thought we\u2019d let that inspire this contest.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Details:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Write a short story (100 words at most!) using the theme <b>New Year, New Love<\/b>. Incorporate these five words:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Resolution<\/li>\n<li>First<\/li>\n<li>Midnight<\/li>\n<li>Cousin<\/li>\n<li>Challenge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To enter the contest, post your story on Tumblr using the hashtag <b>#NewLeaf100Words<\/b> by 11:50 pm on January 22. Make sure you title the post New Year, New Love!<\/p>\n<p><b>The Prize:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A copy of Alexis Bass\u2019 brand new book <i>What\u2019s Broken Between Us<\/i><\/p>\n<p>AND<\/p>\n<p>Your choice: Either a first page critique, or a query critique.
