This year, a Swedish toy catalog is making headlines for using photographs that challenge traditional gender roles (in contrast to\u00a0some images\u00a0used by U.S. retailers).<\/p>\n<p>The catalog in question was created by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.top-toy.com\/\" target=\"_hplink\">TOP-TOY<\/a>, which runs nearly 50 Toys\u201dR\u201dUs retail stores in Northern Europe. It\u00a0shows \u201cgender neutral\u201d photos, including images of a girl shooting a Nerf gun and a boy playing with a baby doll \u2014 as well as pictures of boys and girls using a play kitchen, a mock changing table and a pink Barbie Dreamhouse.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first effort Swedes have made to bash gender stereotyping in toys.
