Take some lessons.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Oh right, so because someone may have held a common prejudice for the time period &#8211; which I am in no way condoning &#8211; means that all of the good that he did is negated entirely?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&hellip; That&rsquo;s really stupid.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You do realize that no one is perfect, right? &lsquo;Cause if we&rsquo;re gonna go there, then no one is a hero. Or awesome. There&rsquo;s good and bad to every person. That&rsquo;s human. And you&rsquo;ve got to take into consideration the knowledge available\/accessible at the time, the societal norm\/expectations\/etc. Racism, I agree, is a terrible thing&hellip; but how many Americans back in the 60s (and before, and today) weren&rsquo;t racist? Heck, many people can&rsquo;t even support the idea that he was actually racist because while he made some racist comments here and there, those were common and not considered a problem until muuuch later&hellip; and he hired and associated with people of all\u00a0ethnicity\/backgrounds\/etc.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Walt still did a LOT of good for the world. He&rsquo;s one of my role models and heroes&hellip; not because he was perfect or\u00a0infallible\u00a0 but because he was human and determined to try to be a good person, to prove that you can make your own dreams come true.
