Pisses me off.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>*reblogs this so hard*<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>My art teacher is always telling me this\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Draw anime anyways because fuck you that\u2019s why<\/p>\n<p>(people who tell me not to draw anime not anyone above shhh follow your dreams you will succeed one day)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A point I\u2019d like to add &#8211; budding artists (of any age) get a lot of grief from people for drawing a \u201cstyle\u201d &#8211; \u201canime\u201d being a culprit.<\/p>\n<p>You know what you say when someone says \u201cStop drawing anime?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You tell \u2018em to fuck off, that\u2019s what!<\/p>\n<p>I hear this about tracing too. Even drawing from <em>reference!<\/em> Y\u2019know what? If you want to trace something, you trace it. If you want to draw \u201cSailor Moons\u201d (thank you grade 7 teacher) then you go draw all the Sailor Moons you want! Because, in five, ten, years from now (you\u2019ll still be drawing then, right? Good!) you\u2019ll expand your horizons, and you\u2019ll start imitating their styles. Then, over time, you will start picking little bits and pieces of hundreds of different styles and\u00a0mold\u00a0them into your very own unique way of drawing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So go and draw anime until you\u2019re bleeding from the ears.
