When he was turned into Conan, he got a really loud wake up call, and his personality has definitely had a shift towards the calmer and more thoughtful, especially about feelings of others, limitations on his abilities, and overall situations he might find himself in. I would be surprised if he didn\u2019t have at least a touch of PTSD and depression. (I think it would be worse if he didn\u2019t have Heiji, who is someone in his age range, is also male, and he can actually talk to, and respects him as himself. Haibara helps, but he\u2019s 17 and gender roles and all that.)<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s <strike>amusingly<\/strike> a before and after.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>All these things are totally true! Especially depression and ptsd and the changing role he\u2019s forced into and his attempts to deal with it.<\/p>\n<p>But I also see the Conan\/Shin\u2019ichi that\u2019s being made from shepherding around the Tantei-dan, and the little glimpses of kindness we get of Shin\u2019ichi on case flashbacks or even the anime\u2019s first ep tantei-dan cameo, and I think \u2018Damn he\u2019d be a great big brother.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>And I also think about how Conan, as an actual person who touches lives, will be sorely missed.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026.so my authorial \u2018let\u2019s fix it by having both!\u2019 fiat smacks in and goes LET US HAVE CONAN SPONTANEOUSLY BECOME A LITTLE BROTHER. OR USE HIM IN AUs OR SOMETHING. YOUR OFFERING PLEASES KITTY. XD<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So agree! I cannot express how much it breaks my heart to think about how it will effect people if they don\u2019t end up knowing he\u2019s Kudo. Even then, it\u2019s really going to mess with the kids\u2026<\/p>\n<p>But also don\u2019t get me wrong, he certainly isn\u2019t a right bastard, or Ran wouldn\u2019t still be friends with him\/madly in love with him. He just had an attitude problem and a lot of that has been kicked in the face. XD<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I agree with all of this.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Oh god, I just had a horrible thought on this. It\u2019s like a visual representation of his carefree youth haunting and teasing him, since things will never be the same in his life or trust in things\u2026 only now he\u2019s enduring all this stuck in the body of a 7 year old.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/66.media.tumblr.com\/tumblr_lxb8cjMM4r1qzgpx9.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>(( don&rsquo;t tell anyone, but this is why Shinichi is my favorite..
