This is a literary analysis and trope driven deconstruction of Haruka\u2019s progress throughout the story.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In short, the <a href=\"http:\/\/tvtropes.org\/pmwiki\/pmwiki.php\/Main\/TheHerosJourney\" target=\"_blank\">Hero\u2019s Journey<\/a> is an archetypal pattern that supports the narrative of many stories, usually epic quests like Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So, that being said\u2026 how does Haruka Nanase\u2019s story, as the protagonist of a slice-of-life sports anime, compare to that of epic heroes like Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not kidding.
