{"id":11163,"date":"2015-06-28T21:32:18","date_gmt":"2015-06-28T21:32:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/archive.gabapple.com\/tumblr\/gabapple\/2015\/06\/28\/one-of-my-favorite-details-in-the-prince-of-egypt\/"},"modified":"2015-06-28T21:32:18","modified_gmt":"2015-06-28T21:32:18","slug":"one-of-my-favorite-details-in-the-prince-of-egypt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/archive.gabapple.com\/tumblr\/gabapple\/2015\/06\/28\/one-of-my-favorite-details-in-the-prince-of-egypt\/","title":{"rendered":"One of my favorite details in The Prince of Egypt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theladylillibet.tumblr.com\/post\/117675653196\/one-of-my-favorite-details-in-the-prince-of-egypt\" class=\"tumblr_blog\">theladylillibet<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/robotsquid.tumblr.com\/post\/27085843542\/one-of-my-favorite-details-in-the-prince-of-egypt\" class=\"tumblr_blog\">robotsquid<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>So I noticed this on one of my last viewings of The Prince of Egypt and I absolutely love it.\u00a0 I wanted to take some screenshots to show you, because this is really cool.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/66.media.tumblr.com\/tumblr_m72o7hWd5B1r2twqx.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the \u201cWhen You Believe\u201d sequence, you see these two Egyptian guards throw down their spears and walk off, seemingly nowhere.<\/p>\n<p>But if you watch the background during the following Red Sea scenes, you see this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/66.media.tumblr.com\/tumblr_m72o8swrgK1r2twqx.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/66.media.tumblr.com\/tumblr_m72o9004MC1r2twqx.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Those two guards actually went with the Hebrews.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/66.media.tumblr.com\/tumblr_m72o9kTaL31r2twqx.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You even see them helping out as they try to cross the ocean floor.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/66.media.tumblr.com\/tumblr_m72oacAV4u1r2twqx.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And here they are on the other side.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/66.media.tumblr.com\/tumblr_m72oayo2sK1r2twqx.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I seriously never noticed them until recently, and I\u2019ve seen this movie countless times.<\/p>\n<p>Not only did these background characters get shown abandoning their role as soldiers, the very ones who probably directly oppressed these people, but the animators continued to place them in the shots during the Red Sea sequence.\u00a0 Meaning they were meant to be there.\u00a0 I just think that\u2019s really really freaking cool.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s accurate too, Exodus says that some Egyptians followed them and were adopted into the Israelite people.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>theladylillibet: robotsquid: So I noticed this on one of my last viewings of The Prince of Egypt and I absolutely love it.\u00a0 I wanted to take some screenshots to show you, because this is really cool.
