– Not taking your child\u2019s injuries seriously when they\u2019re younger, may make them feel like they can\u2019t tell you anything when they\u2019re older.
\n– PLEASE let your kid take personal days once in awhile once they reach highschool.
\n– Grades are NOT everything. You can get plenty of well paying jobs now without having to go to college.
\n– Really strict parenting leads to sneaky kids. Trust me.
\n– Let them be who they want. They can\u2019t change who they are, whether it is sexual orientation, gender identity or anything else. They need someone to support them.
\n– ^ Never say \u201cyou\u2019re too young to know\u201d
\n– \u00bc teenagers deal with a mental illness of some sort (in the U.S). Please make sure they\u2019re okay.
\n– You can\u2019t MAKE them chose an educational field.
\n– Even an A+ student who\u2019s a star athlete can be suicidal.
\n– MENTAL HEALTH COMES FIRST
\n– Self harm is more common than you think amongst teenagers. It\u2019s also not always cutting (or on wrists). Be aware.
\n– Sex ed. doesn\u2019t teach them anything.
\n– Tattoos and piercing aren\u2019t \u201cunprofessional\u201d anymore
\n– If they have depression, please DO NOT call them lazy. It\u2019s almost the worst insult you could say.
\n– If their grades are dropping for no reason, ask about it. Don\u2019t assume things.
\n– Most teenagers don\u2019t have high self esteem. Don\u2019t make it worse.
\n– School is much harder now than it ever has been before.
\n– Not everyone on the internet is a predator
\n– It\u2019s normal to have internet friends now
